Addiction is the imprisonment we experience when we have a habit of feeding ourselves with things to replace God in our lives.

Problems with Pornography, Lust, and Sexual Sin:

Strive - Strive21.com is a website for helping people, especially men, overcome pornography, masturbation, lust, sexual addictions and sexual immorality. You can be as anonymous as you would like on the website. There is a large community of other people helping each other in the name of Christ talk about their stories and their challenges and their successes in overcoming sexual sin. It’s completely free. The site was made by Matt Fradd, who is a well known Christian YouTuber. His YouTube channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClh4JeqYB1QN6f1h_bzmEng

The video “Battling Lust” touches upon how lust is a reaction to not loving. The video explains how someone would not lust after someone they truly respected and loved.

The biggest take away from the video “How to Defeat Lust FOR GOOD” is to resist lust and like how our muscles get stronger when we exercise and resist the weight of the weights we lift at the gym, our ability to resist temptations increases to where it no longer affects us so severely.

Depression, Anxiety, Mental Health, and Suicide:

A person’s mental health issues cannot be definitively cured without following Jesus. All the bad decisions we inherently make due to not following Jesus generates mental health disorders and makes us imprisoned in those disorders and we then ultimately become stuck in a state of depression, anxiety, and mess of thoughts and emotions and behavioral issues. Trust that the God that created reality itself understands how reality works and how we must function in order to be safe, happy, so obey God and his commands. His commands are for our benefit because he knows what is truly good, even if it goes against what we want.

All problems ultimately stem from a spiritual problem. Secular ways of trying to solve these problems are ultimately not enough. These programs I’m listing here are not the ultimate solution. It’s Jesus. Go to a church and talk to a priest or a pastor and talk to them about your issues. You may need to go “church shopping” to find the best fit and the right kind of church that you trust.
